Residential Road in Glynneath to Close Temporarily for Civil Engineering Works

A residential road in Neath Port Talbot is set to be temporarily closed next month in order for civil engineering works to be carried out.
Ivorites Row in Glynneath will be closed from its junction with Merthyr Road for an expected period of three days starting on June 1, 2026.
An order published in May said this was for Openreach to carry out civil engineering works in the road.
It read: “The Order will come into force on the 1 st June 2026 and shall continue in force for a maximum duration of 18 months, or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner, but it is anticipated the works will take 3 days to complete.
“Ivorites Row will be closed from its junction with Merthyr Road, in a westerly direction for a distance of 60 metres along its length.
“There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.
“Access for emergency services and pedestrians will be maintained.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
