County Competed In A Mixed Finals Day At Haverfordwest Cricket Club

Sixteen teams of young cricketers from various primary schools across the County competed in a mixed finals day at Haverfordwest Cricket Club on Monday (27th June).
The teams qualified for the finals day following six cluster festivals located across the county at local cricket clubs.
The schools at the finals were; Hook, Croesgoch, Tavernspite, Tenby Juniors, Golden Grove, Mary Immaculate, Prendergast, Bro Ingli, Cleddau Reach, Puncheston, Glan Cleddau, St Marks, Saundersfoot, Stepaside, Roch, and Lamphey.
Two teams qualified to represent Pembrokeshire at the South West Wales finals – Hook and Cleddau Reach. The teams competed after competitive semi-finals will travel to the Swalec Stadium on Tuesday (5th July).
Cricket Development Officer Matt Freeman said “The finals day was a culmination of three weeks of competitive cricket played across the county at primary school level.
“Both Hook and Cleddau Reach once again progress to the South Wales Finals where the boys and girls have the chance to walk out and play on the same pitch where England have faced Australia in the Ashes.”
William James, Valero Communications Officer, presented the trophies and medals to the joint winners and runners up.
