Jail for Canton robber

A Canton man has been jailed for committing a series of robberies in Cardiff. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Alun Northcott was arrested on September 8, 2015 on suspicion of knife-point robberies between September 5 and 7, 2015. He pleaded guilty to robberies in Sophia Gardens, Pontcanna, Coldstream Terrace, Riverside, and Smeaton Street, Canton. On Wednesday February 24, the 23-year-old appeared a Cardiff Crown Court where he was sentenced to an eight-year custodial sentence. South Wales Police is committed to tackling violent crime to help keep Cardiff safe. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
