As well as being a qualification in its own right, the Certificate in Knowledge of Policing also provides credits towards the Diploma in Policing qualification which will be achieved during an officer’s period. The Diploma is a requirement for all new police constables, and is the national minimum professional qualification. In addition, it gives candidates an official qualification and allows future police officers to take responsibility for their learning. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
