Safer Vale Open Day Promises Free Fun For All
Safer Vale, in conjunction with South Wales Police and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, are delighted to announce that an Open Day will be held for the public at Barry fire Station on Saturday, 23 July, 2016.
The partnership is pulling out all the stops to showcase the fascinating work of all three blue light services and the day promises to be fun-filled for all the family.
The police dogs and horses will be there in support of police officers and firefighters who are lining-up a programme of jaw dropping demonstrations.
There will also be face painting, a bouncy castle, a rodeo bull, arts and crafts, glitter tattoos, and a real hands-on reptile zone for people to get up close and personal to snakes, lizards and lots more.
What’s more, it is totally free, with the exception of refreshments on site which will be available at a small cost from private vendors.
Inspector Naomi Drew from Safer Vale, said: “We are all very excited about the event on 23rd July – it is one of the best yet with an amazing line up of displays and activities.
“We don’t want parents and carers to worry at all so we’ve made sure that virtually everything at the event is free so it can be enjoyed by everyone.”
The event – which is supported by Bro Radio – will start at 11am and finish at 4pm.
There will be a number of parking spaces for disabled drivers directly outside the fire station, but all other parking will at Barry Comprehensive School which is directly opposite the venue.
