Organisations that meet the world-recognised Investors in People (IIP) standard reflect the very best in people management excellence. Since 2013 South Wales Police has worked with Investors in People to develop improved people management, polices and processes. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

During the assessment there were four phases to complete ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

• Phase one, discovery, which looked at how aligned people are to the objectives of the organisation.
• Phase two, an online assessment.
• Phase three, employee interviews and observation.
• Phase four, report and feedback. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Josh Jones, Chief Superintendent for South Wales Police said: ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“I am delighted that the Public Service Centre has received this accreditation. The fact that the assessor had no hesitation in recommending us shows the commitment and dedication of colleagues to excellence. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

It has taken a great deal of hard graft to achieve this and colleagues in the Public Service Centre can be rightly proud of what we have achieved.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

IIP noted the strength and commitment from staff who have a “can do” attitude and a positive outlook. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Andy Kingdom, Chief Inspector for South Wales Police said: ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“Leading on the project has been a rewarding experience. Initiatives such as IIP showcases those organisations that are breaking down barriers and proving that people are the true success in any organisation. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“Since 2013 we have been working alongside IPP to ensure that developments are made that are revolutionary and allow us to grow and develop as an organisation.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
