South Wales Police is investigating a number of suspicious incidents in the Pentwyn and Pontprennau areas of Cardiff.
Since January 26, five incidents have been reported of a man acting suspiciously.
Three of these have been in Pentwyn – Pentwyn Drive, Pentwyn Road, and Glyn Coed Road – and two in Pontprennau – Lascelles Drive and Heol Pontprennau.
The most recent report was received yesterday from a woman who was approached in Heol Pontprennau at around 12.30pm by a man driving a black Range Rover. He offered her and her young child a lift, she declined and he drove off.
Inspector Paul Arkontopoulos, from South Wales Police, said: “There are some similarities in the description of the man and a vehicle but there are also some differences too so at this stage we cannot be certain it is the same man.
“Enquiries are continuing into these incidents and neighbourhood officers have increased patrols near schools, at the start and end of the school day, to help reassure the local community.
“As always, we would ask people to be vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to us by calling 101 or 999 in an emergency.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact South Wales Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting occurrence number 1600044344.
