Swansea Fatal RTC: Victim Family Tribute
The victim of a fatal road traffic collision which occurred in Swansea city centre shortly after 10.30pm on Friday December 16th 2016 has been named as David Howells, aged 77, from Manselton. He was crossing Welcome Lane when he was in collision with a Peugeot 307
Mr Howells family has paid this tribute to him: “David was a wonderful brother and uncle. He was thoughtful, caring and really was ‘one in a million’.
“Nobody ever had a bad word to say about him. We are all devastated and shocked to suddenly loose David in such a tragic way.”
Mr Howells lived in the Manselton area of the city and was a retired supervisor having worked in the Swansea-based Addis Brush factory for many years. His family described him as a keen horseracing fan and film buff who also enjoyed travelling.
South Wales Police is continuing to appeal for any witnesses who have not already done so to call the police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers free on 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 1600485182.
