New Blaenavon Community Hub To Help Boost Employment Skills

A new community hub that offers employment support to the local community in Blaenavon opens on Wednesday 11 January. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The hub is located in the Melin Academy on Ivor Street – behind the Cooperative store – and a team will be available to offer one to one support with CVs, job searching, career advice and access to training. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

As well as helping job seekers gain new skills, build their confidence, and improve employment opportunities, the team will help those already in work to improve their workplace skills. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The hub formally opens on Wednesday 11 January and candidates are invited to come along from 9:30am for the opening and to enjoy some refreshments. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
