The double platinum-selling classical singer Rhydian Roberts will play the Blaenavon Workman’s Hall on Saturday 11 March 2016. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Rhydian shot to fame on ITV’s X Factor and has gone on to becoming an international star, working with some of the biggest names in the music industry. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

He will perform hits from his most recent album Carry the Fire as well as some of the classics he has become known for across the world. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

It is Rhydian’s second time performing in Blaenavon – he previously played to sell-out crowds at the Blaenavon Ironworks in 2010 to mark the centenary of the Blaenavon Male Voice Choir, who will be supporting him again for the evening. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Rhydian said: “I had a fantastic time the last time I came to Blaenavon and everyone made me feel so welcome. I have a real passion for Welsh male voice choirs and I am delighted that the Blaenavon Male Voice Choir can come and support me for the evening. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“I will be singing some of my latest songs from my new album and putting my own spin on some well-loved classics, so there will be something for everyone to enjoy.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The chair of the Blaenavon World Heritage Committee, Gareth Davies, said: “We are delighted to welcome Rhydian back to Blaenavon. His last performance here sold out quickly and was a huge success, and we have wanted to have him back for some time. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“It promises to be a great evening and I hope to see as many people there as possible to help us raise funds to support Blaenavon World Heritage Day.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Doors open from 7pm and tickets can be booked at www.ticketsource.co.uk/blaenavonworkmenshall or directly Blaenavon Workman’s Hall on 01495 792661. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
