Tasha’s Tea Room, Open For Business
Tasha opens up at the PowerStation
Local lady Natasha Maddison – Herbert has opened up a café facility within the Torfaen Council‘s Power Station building in Blenheim Road, St Dials. The café, Tasha’s Tea Room is open to users of the adult education centre and members of the public on a daily basis and serves teas, coffees, cakes, hot and cold rolls.
At the official launch on Monday 23rd January the Mayor, Councillor Veronica Crick, welcomed the opening of the facility and wished the business a successful future. She was delighted that Tasha who already had catering experience, lived locally and was well known in the community.
The venture was coordinated and supported by Communities First and Torfaen Adult Education. Adult Essential Skills and Centre Manager, Linda Bailey spoke of how pleased Torfaen Adult & Community Learning were that the café had re-opened and also about the passion and drive that Tasha had in running the café for the use of the whole community.
Richard Murphy, Enterprise Promotion officer for TCBC said “working with Tasha has been an absolute pleasure. Her desire to start her own business has been there from the start. Her nature is that of a hard working person who wants to succeed and everyone involved wishes her all the best for her journey running this very promising enterprise”
