Swansea Business Donates Stock To Helicopter Charity
A Swansea business has been helping Wales Air Ambulance to raise lifesaving funds by donating end of line stock to the charity.
Williams of Swansea Ltd have been supporting the Wales Air Ambulance Charity by donating stock to be sold in the charity’s shops, which play a vital role in funding the service.
Williams of Swansea Ltd have donated end of line children’s toy prams, electric go karts, footballs and gift items to the charity to help raise the £6 million needed every year to keep Wales Air Ambulance’s helicopters flying.
Wales Air Ambulance completes roughly 2,000 missions every year, each lifesaving missions costing around £1,500.
Wales Air Ambulance currently has 18 shops across Wales which help to fund the charity’s lifesaving missions.
The kind donation from the Swansea retailer will be distributed across the charity’s shop network which covers the whole of Wales.
Andrew Lawton, Wales Air Ambulance’s Head of Retail and Trading, said: “By donating their end of line stock, Williams of Swansea Ltd are helping WAA to save lives.
“Our shops play a big role in funding our operations, and they rely on kind donations and volunteers.
“We would like to say a big thank you to Andrew Page from Williams of Swansea Ltd and their team for their kindness, generosity and ongoing support for Wales Air Ambulance.”
