Dead Newborn Puppy Found Down Drain In Southsea, Wrexham
RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after the body of a newborn puppy was found in a drain in Southsea, Wrexham.
Workers at School Lane made the sad discovery on Friday (17 June) at around midday.
RSPCA inspector Tim Jones said: “This brindle/black newborn puppy – a Jack Russell cross – was found dead and the body had decomposed.
“There were no gaps that the puppy could have fallen through, and the only way could been for someone to lift up a manhole cover and place it in there.
“It is heartbreaking to find a puppy so young in this way. We don’t know what happened or how this little animal died, or even whether he or she was dead before dumped, so we are appealing for information to try and find out.”
Anyone with information about this incident should contact the RSPCA inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018. Calls are treated in confidence.
