Appeal Following Assault In Colwyn Bay

An appeal for information and witnesses is being made after a man was assaulted in Colwyn Bay this afternoon (Monday, June 13). ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Officers were alerted at around 14.50 that a man had been attacked in Hawarden Road. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The man has been taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan having sustained an injury. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Police are in the vicinity dealing with the incident and undertaking inquiries which include house to house. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Detective Inspector Chris Bell said: “The scene has been cordoned off and officers are in the vicinity dealing with the incident. Our investigations are in their early stages and we urge anyone who was in the vicinity of Hawarden Road this afternoon and witnessed anything which they believe could assist us to please contact detectives at St Asaph CID on 101 quoting reference number U086737.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
