Fatal Collision In Pentrefoelas

One man has died following a road traffic collision on the A5 in Pentrefoelas earlier this morning (Wednesday, June 15th). ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

At 08:41 North Wales Police received a report by the Ambulance Service of a road traffic collision involving three vehicles on the A5 one mile southbound of Pentrefoelas. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The vehicles involved were a Rover 25, a Ford Focus and an agricultural vehicle. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The driver of the agricultural vehicle was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Two other people were taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The A5 is currently closed and diversions are in place by the Waterloo Bridge at Betws-y-Coed and in the village of Pentrefoelas. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
