North Wales Police Have Arrested Two Males On Suspicion Of Assault
North Wales Police were called to the promenade area in Llandudno shortly after 0700 hours this morning (28 January 2017) following reports that a female jogger had been assaulted by two males.
Enquires revealed that a 52 year old male dog-walker had also been assaulted at the same time or shortly after this incident.
Following further enquires, North Wales Police have arrested two males on suspicion of assault and they remain in Police custody whilst officers carry out further investigations. They are both from the Cheshire area and were staying at a local hotel.
The injuries to the two persons assaulted are minor.
Inspector Gareth Cust commented: “The motive for the assault is not believed to be robbery-related and thankfully the injuries were minor in nature. Police enquires continue whilst the males remain in custody. We are content that this was an isolated incident in which a swift and effective response was made.”
