Plans submitted for Hotpod Yoga studio in Wrexham Office Unit

A vacant office off Bryn Lane in Wrexham could become a hot yoga studio if plans are approved.
Wrexham County Borough Council has received a planning application to alter the use of an office unit on the Bryn Business Centre to accommodate the latest location for global hot yoga franchise Hotpod Yoga.
The application – by Tim and Bethany Jones – would see them lease the unit to offer hot yoga classes.
“This proposal represents an opportunity to bring the building back into active use through a health and wellbeing-focused business that will provide a valuable service to the local community,” according to their application.
“The proposed use is considered to be an appropriate and positive addition to the area, encouraging physical and mental wellbeing while making productive use of an existing commercial premises.”
Inside the unit the storage room and kitchen partitions would be removed to maximise the yoga studio space.
Hotpod claims to be Europe’s biggest yoga studio network with 60 studios globally and over half a million customers. Classes take place inside an inflatable pod within the studio that traps the heat inside. As a result there is no need for additional structural work to improve insulation to the building.
Two showers will be installed for members while small kitchen, seating and changing facilities will be constructed near the entrance.
