Claims Against SWFRS Withdrawn After False Allegation Admission

A former employee of South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (SWFRS) has withdrawn his claim during Employment Tribunal proceedings in Cardiff yesterday (Tuesday 10th May 2016) after admitting there was no truth in his allegations of harassment and race discrimination. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Mr. Lloyd resigned from the Service in September 2015 due to personal reasons and had not raised any concerns or made allegations against the Service or his station. However, it was following his resignation, that all of the allegations and unfair dismissal were made, which was not expected by SWFRS. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

During the course of the Tribunal, Mr. Lloyd decided that he did not wish to proceed with his claim. South Wales Fire and Rescue Service had always refuted the allegations brought by Mr. Lloyd and was represented at the Tribunal by Caspar Glyn QC. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
