Appeal Following Attempted Robbery – Pontypool

We’re appealing for information following an attempted robbery that occurred in Pontypool Town Centre. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

At approximately 12pm on Friday 6th January a lady in her 70s was walking up the steps to the side of Lloyds Bank when she was approached by a male wearing a hooded jumper who attempted to take money from her. A passer-by then disturbed him and he ran off empty handed towards Commerical Street. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The woman was unharmed. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
