Appeal For Information After A Distraction Burglary On Woodland Road, Newport.

Gwent Police is appealing for information after a distraction burglary on Woodland Road, Newport on Friday 15th June 2016 at approximately 1:15pm. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The offender is said to be an unknown male, who attended the address claiming to be a Swalec engineer, he had a hand held device and said he was there to read the gas/electric meter. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The victim denied access but the offender stated there would be repercussions as a result of her refusal. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The offender is being described an Asian male around 6ft 2, clean shaven with black swept back black hair, a local accent and looks to be in his 20s. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
