Appeal For Information Following An Armed Robbery On Caerleon Road, Newport.

Gwent Police is appealing for information following a robbery at the Betfred betting office on Caerleon Road, Newport.
The offence took place at approximately 9.20pm on Saturday 18th June 2016.
The offender is being described as a white male, 5ft 9 to 5ft 11, medium to stocky build, possibly in his 40s with stubble around his chin.
The victim has described his accent as not being local or Welsh but as a Midlands accent but not Birmingham either.
The man entered the store just prior to closing time armed with what is described as a silver handgun.
He demanded money from the staff in the store before leaving with a quantity of cash from the till.
Whilst the incident was extremely distressing for the people working at the store, no one was seriously injured.
The investigation into this incident is continuing and increased patrols are in the area at present to reassure the community.
We are appealing for witnesses or anyone who can help to identify the offender and would ask anyone with information to call 101 quoting incident number 612 18/06/16.
