Brynmawr Fair – Message From CSO Linzi Nicolls

The fair has arrived in Brynmawr this week and CSO Linzi Nicholls has a message to anyone who is thinking about going and spoiling other peoples fun… ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Linzi says: “It’s usually a great week with no trouble but on the first evening, last night, we had a group of about 30 youths kicking balls and swearing and generally acting in an anti-social manner. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“We’ve already met some great kids (as seen in the picture on the left) and people of all ages having fun – even 93 year old Mrs Robinson (as seen in the picture on the right). ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“If your children are going to the fair, please remind them to act responsibly and not to spoil other peoples fun or intimidate the elderly. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

CSO Linzi Nicholls added: “The majority have a fab time with no trouble and I don’t want the hand full spoil it for the rest. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable experience – there are security staff and local officers patrolling and any anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
