The fair has arrived in Brynmawr this week and CSO Linzi Nicholls has a message to anyone who is thinking about going and spoiling other peoples fun…
Linzi says: “It’s usually a great week with no trouble but on the first evening, last night, we had a group of about 30 youths kicking balls and swearing and generally acting in an anti-social manner.
“We’ve already met some great kids (as seen in the picture on the left) and people of all ages having fun – even 93 year old Mrs Robinson (as seen in the picture on the right).
“If your children are going to the fair, please remind them to act responsibly and not to spoil other peoples fun or intimidate the elderly.
CSO Linzi Nicholls added: “The majority have a fab time with no trouble and I don’t want the hand full spoil it for the rest.
“We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable experience – there are security staff and local officers patrolling and any anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated.”
