Inspector Issues 48 Hour Dispersal Order This Weekend – Nantyglo
Following recent reports of anti-social behaviour in the Nantyglo area, there will be a 48 hour Dispersal Order (Under Section 35 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014) in place this weekend.
The designated area of the order will include: Queen Street, King Street, Garn Road, Garn Cross, Trevor Rawson Park, Banna Park, Chapel Road and New Road.
The order will start at 5pm today, Friday 17th June, and be in place for 48 hours.
Officers will be patrolling the area and will have the authority to direct anyone behaving anti-socially away from the area. If they return to that area after being moved on, they face being arrested.
Blaenau Gwent Inspector Sarah Greening said: “This dispersal order has been put in place following reports of anti-social behaviour in these areas where the actions of a small minority are causing alarm and distress to local residents. Officers will be on regular patrol in the areas affected to enforce the Dispersal Order and to prevent incidents of anti-social behaviour.”
Please report any anti-social activity to 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
