Pontypool Man Arrested For Being 4 Times Over Drink Drive Limit

A 44 year old man from Pontypool has been arrested after providing a positive roadside breath test. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Due to the nature of his driving, the man was pulled over by officers on the A4043 in Pontypool yesterday evening, Monday 4th July, at approximately 11.35pm. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Back at the station the man blew two readings of 141 and 144mg of alcohol per 100ml breath – over four times the legal limit. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

He is currently in police custody. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
