Update: 27 Year Old Man Charged After High Speed Pursuit Throughout Caerphilly
Yesterday we told you about a vehicle that made off from officers which resulted in a high speed pursuit of the car throughout Caerphilly. The driver exceeded speeds of over 70mph for approximately 7 minutes.
The pursuit came to an end when the vehicle entered The Crescent, Caerphilly and continued down the footpath underneath a railway bridge towards Churchill Park where the vehicle got wedged in the tunnel…
Area Support Inspector, Gavin Clifton says: “Today a 27 year old man from the Caerphilly area has now been charged for dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, driving whilst disqualified, failing to provide blood sample for analysis and driving without insurance. He has now been bailed and will appear in Newport Magistrates Court next month.”
