Drugs Worth £30,000 Seized During Barry Raids
Drugs worth an estimated £30,000 have been recovered during a series of raids in Barry.
Officers executed warrants at three addresses on Burns Crescent in the Colcot area of the town on Friday, November 11th.
A significant amount of a cocaine and cannabis was recovered along with thousands of pounds in cash.
Two men, aged 22 and 19, and a 25-year-old woman, all from Barry, were arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A and Class B drugs with the intent to supply.
All three have been bailed pending further inquiries.
Detective Sergeant Julian Kerslake said: “Drugs continue to blight our local communities, and we are determined to do all we can to rid the streets of them.
“We hope these raids will serve as a warning to others involved in illegal drug activity that their actions will not be tolerated and it is only a matter of time until we turn up at their door.
“We also hope the warrants serve to reassure the local community. We welcome any new information from the public and we will always act upon any intelligence we receive regarding individuals involved in this type of activity.”
