James Frazer-Mann Sentenced For Cybercrime Offences

James Frazer-Mann from Barry in south Wales has received a four months sentence suspended for 12 months and 180 hours community of service at Cardiff Crown Court today (Monday 21st November). ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Between 2013 and 2015 Frazer-Mann paid unidentified online third parties to commit Cybercrime Offences against several targets which often result in Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks against websites involved in the financial sector. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Officers from the Tarian Regional Cyber Crime Unit executed a search warrant and interviewed James Frazer-Mann in March 2015 with regards his activities online when he made significant admissions. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Appearing in Cardiff Crown Court on Friday 7th October 2016 Frazer-Mann pleaded guilty to five charges of intentionally encouraging or assisting the commission of an offence contrary to the Serious Crime Act 200. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
