A NEW year often brings with it many residents across the Vale resolving to improve their fitness. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Nevertheless, after joining gyms, people often lose interest and leave their shiny new trainers to gather dust under the stairs. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

This is why the Vale of Glamorgan Council’s Sports and Play Development team have been updating the details of local sport and physical activity clubs on offer in the area, in order to show residents that there are plenty of options for those wishing to increase their fitness levels in 2017. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

There are hundreds of alternatives to the gym, such as local sports clubs that not only provide attendees with the opportunity to improve their fitness, but also provide great social benefits. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The up-to-date Sports Club Directory highlights the array of clubs available for people across a range of ages. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

There are currently more than 140 clubs on the database, many of which may meet in a range of indoor venues, including community centres, leisure centres, sports halls and local church halls. Alternatively, there are also activities such as surf lifesaving, running, sailing and kayaking that make use of the Vale’s fantastic natural environment. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

If you are a member of a sports club that is not registered on the database, please contact the team. There is no charge to be placed on the database. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
