Funding Surgery To Offer Help For Your Sporting Activities
GLAMORGAN Voluntary Services (GVS) is hosting a Funding Surgery with Sport Wales, with the aim of helping residents with their community sport and physical activity projects.
If you are involved with sport in the community, or are running a physical activity project and need financial support, the surgery might be for you.
The Community Chest grants offer up to £1,500, in any 12 month period, for clubs and organisations increasing participation in physical activity across the Vale. A further £1,500 is also available for those clubs tackling inequalities in sport.
Development Grants – ranging between £1,501-£25,000 – are also available for the purposes of:
- Coach education
- Floodlighting for training purposes
- Purchase of land or rights in land to develop activity areas
- Start-up grants to support new enterprises
To attend the surgery, you must first email your project proposal (no more than one side of A4), including costs and some information about your group, to dave@GVS.wales by Wednesday 08 February.
If, on review, your proposal is thought to have benefits to community sport and exercise you will then be invited to the Funding Surgery on Thursday 16 February at Barry Community Enterprise Centre.
