Lifesaving 90th Birthday Donation

A Nurse from Bala has raised a lifesaving donation for a Welsh helicopter charity to celebrate her milestone birthday. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Gwyneth Griffiths asked for donations to Wales Air Ambulance in lieu of gifts for her 90th birthday, raising over £800. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

In honour of her birthday, family and friends donated to Gwyneth’s collection to fund lifesaving helicopter missions across Wales. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The fundraiser raised £802.50 for Wales Air Ambulance, helping the charity to raise the £6.5 million needed every year to run its services. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The 90-year-old presented her birthday donation to Carl Hudson, Wales Air Ambulance Paramedic, at Caernarfon airport. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
