Abercrave And Seven Sisters Crews Attended RTC On A4067, Abercrave

On Thursday (02/06/2016) at 01:40pm crews from Abercrave and Pontardawe attended a road traffic collision involving three private motor vehicles on the A4067 road, Abercrave. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Fire crews released one male and one female from separate vehicles. The male was transferred to hospital by the Air Ambulance Crew and the female taken in a road Ambulance. The occupants of the third vehicle were released prior to the arrival of the fire service. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The road was closed by the Police. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The fire crews used hydraulic cutting equipment, chocks and blocks, immediate emergency care pack, a hose reel jet and small gear at the scene. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The fire service left the incident at 02:55pm. The Police remained at the scene to conduct an investigation and to await the recovery of the vehicles. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
