Appliances From Swansea Central And West Attend Fire At Property In Blaen Y Maes
On Saturday (04/06/2016) at 04:20am, two appliances from Swansea Central and Swansea West responded to call of a fire at a two storey property in Blaen y Maes.
The ground floor was severely damaged by the fire and the entire property was heavily smoke logged.
Two dogs and one hamster were rescued but sadly three dogs and one cat died.
Firefighters extinguished the fire using four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, a safety jet, thermal image camera, positive pressure ventilation fan phase 3 and a 7meter ladder.
The Police service was also present. Firefighters left the scene at 05:52am.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
