Colwyn Bay – Perfectly Placed For Christmas

Thousands enjoyed Colwyn Bay’s Christmas Special Event on 2 December, an extra few hours of shopping as well as festive entertainment for all ages. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Families flocked to the town to enjoy a truly festive experience, from a visit with Santa and his real life Reindeers to a photo opportunity in a Giant Snowglobe. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Children’s faces lit up as they saw a busy Station Road winding round to Sea View Road complete with festive treats, fairground rides and Christmas themed entertainment. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Organisers Conwy County Borough Council along with the Bay of Colwyn Town Council, Colwyn Bay Chamber of Trade, and Colwyn Business Improvement District were very pleased with the turn out and opportunity to boost sales in the town. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Cllr Graham Rees, Conwy County Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Tourism, Marketing and Leisure said “Another great event, through commitment and belief between the partners involved to bring a feel good factor to the Bay at the start of the festive season. The Christmas Special was an event for both locals and visitors to enjoy, as well as support our businesses, considering the economic significance events bring to our towns.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
