Repairs To Retaining Wall At Llanfairfechan

Work to repair the retaining wall near Nant y Pandy Bridge in Llanfairfechan will start this month. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The retaining wall was damaged during last year’s Boxing Day floods. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The repair work, funded by Welsh Government, is scheduled to start on 31st October and is expected to be completed by the end of January. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Whilst the repairs take place it will be necessary to close Nant y Felin Road, adjacent to the weir. Access will be via Nant y Felin Road as far as Blaen Nant, with access to Coed Madog across the bridge via Valley Road. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
