New Well-Being Website Launched

A new way for people to find out about ways they can improve their well-being has been launched. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Dewis Cymru was officially launched at the National Social Services Conference at Venue Cymru. The website will provide people across North Wales with information about well-being, activities and support based on their needs and where they live. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

There are over 350 listings for groups in Conwy County with information on everything from leisure centre classes, mental health support groups, childcare, support for carers and lots more. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Dewis Cymru is a partnership between the North Wales Single Point of Access (SPoA) programme, Data Unit Wales and the Social Services Improvement Agency. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Cllr Sue Lloyd Williams, Conwy County Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Housing, Social Care and Health said, “I’m really pleased to see the launch of Dewis Cymru. It’s a great resource to help people get access to information about services that can make a real difference to their lives, all in one place.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
