New Local Policing Inspector For Merthyr

The Merthyr area has a new Local Policing Inspector (LPI). ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

LPI Mark Simmonds has joined the team this month and will have an overview of all elements of policing in the sector. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

He brings with him 13 years’ experience gained through a variety of roles from across the South Wales Police area. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

LPI Simmonds said: “I am looking forward to building on the good work which is already being undertaken by officers and staff across the sector and getting to understand the issues which effect the communities.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
